Facing a crisis may be a little less chaotic if you can develop a tabletop or drill to fall back on, Dara Cohen, senior director of strategic communications and media relations for the American Gaming Association, said during Ragan’s Virtual Crisis Conference.

If you can create a drill, a guide, a tabletop or something else that works ahead of time and learn how to interact with everyone involved, it allows you understand and foster relationships with both your internal and external comms team during crises,” she said.

There are three main guidelines that Cohen says can help comms teams have a clearer idea for how to respond.
